About the Artist

I am an artist at heart, and although the bulk of my artistic talent lies in my ability to apply makeup, I love art of all kinds. I have been interested in all things creative since I was a little girl and am always thinking of my next art project. I have a day-job that is great, but it isn’t exactly creative or artistic. So, I like to off-set that by doing freelance makeup artistry on the side. I love doing weddings and photo shoots and I try to make myself available on weekends for them.

I created this blog at first to showcase my makeup work and write about beauty tips and recommendations but I quickly realized I wanted to blog about all aspects of my life. I now blog about everything from my favorite recipes and DIY craft projects to my trials and tribulations during my half marathon trainings. I call myself an “artist’ because I think there is beauty in everything and if you know how to create, capture, or even just appreciate it, you’re an artist.

Now I should clarify my blog title…my name isn’t Adele, it’s Amanda.  Adele is a shorted combo of my first and last name put together and I thought it had a nice ring to it ;)

So, stick around and check out all-things-Adele. You can even subscribe to my posts by email!

And if you need a makeup artist for your wedding or event or just want to contact me for any reason, shoot me an email at info@artistrybyadele.com.

  1. A very nice introduction my friend,
keep blogging about you artistry and
visiting lots of different Spaces too, as
they are often quite varied and indeed
rather wicked in some cases :)

  2. I love reading about different people and their different lives. Your blog is very interesting! And now I am craving tomatoes.

  3. Hey Amanda! I just wanted to let you know that I nominated you for the Versatile Blogger Award :) As you know, I LOVE your blog. I mentioned you in my blog this week. Check it out :)

  4. Cute blog! Thank you for the comment – always great to get a little feedback. I look forward to exploring more of your world over here – and if you’re ever in Monterey, CA, I’m always looking for fellow artists to collaborate with! ;)

  5. Hey Amanda, nice blog. I’d just like to offer some friendly criticism/advice. I just think you need to work on your photographic exposure, white balance. Otherwise, you can certainly frame a shot nicely! All the best.

    • Thank you for the advice! I completely agree. These were taken in 2007 when I knew very little about photography and was using a little old point and shoot. I was really looking forward to going back with my SLR in May to see if my photos would improve :(

  6. amanda great blog and I really enjoyed your articles on here. Any tips for women mid age with slower metabolism? I am sure many would love to know how to rev up their metabolism . it’s an issue I hear about daily my practice
